Not very interesting
27 September 2012
Summary: The games on the London 2012 Olympics is not nearly as entertaining as the 2010 Winter Olympics game. The games aren't very interesting and it's easy to get bored with it. In general, not a very impressive game. I feel more creativity and thought could have gone into its design. Maybe some of the controls are complicated and I just don't get it, but I was quick to get bored with the various sports in there. Overall, a disappointment.
Summary: Admittedly, we feel spoiled about the lovely, user-friendly controls from Wii Sports and Wii Sports Resort, and were thinking this would be similar in quick-and-easy user-friendliness with lots of those kinds of sports games, but using the Sonic and Mario characters my kids LOVE. Unfortunately, as well-designed as the regular sports games are, the controls for this one are... well, a mess.
Summary: My daughter and I play video games together. We play tons of different games of different types. She loves mario and sonic games and this was one of thew few that we didn't have so I thought it would give it a shot. My kid, Loves it. But hey lets be honest, she is 4, it doesn't take much to amuse her. I don't really care for how the game is structured, don't really care for the activities. It is bearable I guess, I'll play it because my kid begs me to.
Liked Mario and Sonic at the Winter Olympics better!

Summary: I rented this from Redbox on the off chance that I might actually enjoy it enough to want to buy it, as I really enjoy the winter olympics game and play that quite a bit. Boy, I couldn't have been more wrong with this game! I got bored very easily with the game choices, and only played it for about 30 minutes before driving up the street to return it. Thank god I didn't waste any more than I did on this, or I would have been very upset!
Summary: Brilliant as you would expect from Mario. However, daughter is getting very frustrated by how many of the games are designed for right-handed players only. She & I have tried playing these games left-handed but given up & resorted to holding the controller in our right hands. A great game absolutely ruined by a stupid oversight in my opinion! Watch out left-handers out there!
Conclusion: After the 2008 game, I was really looking forward to this. But it is so disappointing and the main reason for this is because - for some reason - they have taken away circuit mode!!! I have no idea why. You are therefore only left having to play endless single circuits. So it takes you a minute or two to set up the 100m and then its all over in 10 seconds and you have to set up another event. The choice of events is better but some of the controls are bizarre.
