by Tom Kelly Ahh, finally it is that time of year again. The smell of freshly cut grass, the sweet sound the crack of the bat makes, the false sense of hope all Orioles fans (myself included) have until mid April when reality sets in. Yes folks, it is finally baseball season, just as the boys of summer are trudging their way onto the field preparing for the 162 games to come, developers are also blessing us fans with our eagerly anticipated video game baseball fix.... Despite a sizable list of issues to be fixed and features to be added, 2K8 still provides a decent baseball simulation. 2K Sports could do a lot better, but they could also have done a lot worse. That doesn't really matter though, because you're not likely to play online. It lags so much that it's nearly unplayable, and it's definitely not fun. 2K Sports is onto something with... Read more

I have to admit that I played MLB 08 The Show before I played Major League Baseball 2K8. I went in not trying to compare the two games because once again, if you own a Xbox 360 or Nintendo Wii then your basically going to be playing this game no matter what. So I gave Major League Baseball 2K8 every benefit of the doubt and at the end of the day I actually really enjoyed it very much. Major League Baseball 2K8 is a stat monster that has so many options and fun items to... Read more
