Summary: The Nintendo Wii edition of the Major League Baseball 2K series remains an afterthought. Improvements seen the past two years in the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the hardball franchise have been all but ignored on the Wii. So, MLB 2K11 is a shallow, ugly rehash of MLB 2K10 that brings nothing new to the table except a kiddie Arcade mode guaranteed to bore all but the least discriminating baseball fans.
Pros: Mostly realistic baseball action on the diamond
Cons: Virtually the same game as MLB 2K10, Unnecessary, repetitive motion-sensing controls that lack Wii MotionPlus support, Simplistic batting, No online play, Awful graphics
Excerpt: debuted on the Wii, each successive release has seemingly been treading the same ground. There are some tweaks here and there, 2K slaps on a new cover, and voila, out the door she goes. This year is no different. Besides a semi-complete roster update and a new "mode" being included, it’s really hard to tell just where the developers spent their time.
