Tomb Raider: Anniversary is the perfect way to revisit Lara Croft. Instead of a remake, we've been given a remade version of her original adventure, bringing with it all the improvements that have been made to her character over the years, yet retaining the qualities that made us fall in love with her games in the first place. The title has its flaws, and the Wii version is not the definitive version, but that doesn't mean it's inferior either. Read more
omb Raider: Anniversary is everything a remake should be. It makes the most of modern technology to bring a classic game world up to date, and doesn't rely on constant fire-fights to bring excitement. Read more
It is hard to believe that Tomb Raider is ten years old (editor: as a video game franchise). Lara Croft has improved her attire a little bit, but she still has a long way to go. Eidos has still not taught her the lessons about modesty. Plenty of puzzles can be found in this video game, along with gunning down bats, dogs, bears, dinosaurs, wolves, and other such things. The player can let Lara go wild with those two hand guns. Read more

As the world goes nuts for the Wii’s motion-sensitive thrills, more and more developers are being seduced by Nintendo’s unique interface and shoehorning gesture-controls into games that really don’t need them. And in the case of Lara’s Wii debut, forcing motion controls on a game best suited to a traditional pad makes for a clumsy, often frustrating experience. Read more

Will Tomb Raider Anniversary on Wii be another rushed port with tacked-on Remote waggle? Nope. Senior producer Morgan Gray insists that the many enhancements and new gameplay mechanics being built in specifically for Wii make it the "definitive realisation of Lara Croft". That's what we like to hear. Little has been said about the Wii edition of the game, but the lid has finally been lifted on the extra treats coming exclusively to Nintendo fans. Read more
In 1996, the original Tomb Raider was launched. The 3D game design, controls and graphics were truly ground breaking for their time. Furthermore, gamers were also presented with a unique, female human playable character with whom they could become emotionally attached, Lara Croft. The original Tomb Raider sold over seven million copies and is still heralded as an absolute classic and one of the best action adventure games ever! Read more
I played the original back in the late 90's. Same thrills and sense of danger. The new graphics are wonderful, Wii oriented moves are fun. Shooting the pistol takes some hand eye coordination, use the Z button to keep the camera on the target. If you like solo game, puzzles, and beautiful artwork, this game is for you. I didn't enjoyed Star Wars Force Unleased since it was way too much mindless carnage. Read more

This game is as good as everyone here says! One of the best games I have played. Once you have mastered the moves its great. We have given it 4 stars not 5 only because we thought we would try the training level first - Croft Manor, and got very frustrated, as considering it is supposed to be training, there were no instructions about what buttons do what, we had to keep refering to the manual.
