Summary: I bought this game as I thought it would be a lot of fun, thinking of regular putt putt golf game. It is not what it makes it out to be at all. You are not playing on an actual putt putt green, but on rock or concrete. Also it is very hard to figure out how hard to hit the ball, as I think some of the balls are even made out of rocks. Even for $5 I think I could have bought a better game than this one.
Summary: Since the players throw fits when they miss a shot or score to high, this game is Not appropriate for Everyone. I wish i had seen the reviews before leting my mother in law buy this for my 5 year old. We wanted a mini golf game for him. We will be trading this in on a more appropriate mini golf game. Otherwise once you learn the controls the play is ok, but getting everything to unlock is a pain. Not suggesting this game to any one.
Summary: Yes, the graphics on some courses are a little dark and bumps are sometimes a surprise but there are lots of hidden ways to conquer these holes. You earn money so quickly that you can buy anything you want in the way of balls, clubs, mulligans if you really need them. If the courses weren't a little difficult sometimes, you would just run through them and complain that the game is too easy. For such a low price, we feel it is well worth it and a lot of fun.
Summary: As an avid miniature golfer in real life, I'm always trying to find great miniature golf video games to play when the weather is bad. However, this is not one of them. The other reviewers have done a good job of summarizing the main drawbacks of the game. I bought the game used and had a hard time following the point of the game. The courses start off too hard in the beginning- there is no build up in the courses.
Summary: I agree with JB's 8/18 review fully. I rented this w/o an instruction manual & played for about an hour & stopped from frustratio. Menu options: Career, Tournament, Time Clock & Practice (of holes you have unlocked) Single & Multiplayer mode. You only get a chance BEFORE the game to purchase things. Almost all needs to be unlocked. You start w/$2,000. A pee wee putter is $700, a rubber ball $25? or speed ball $70?
Summary: This game is just dreadful. It looks twenty years out of date. It isn't the least bit entertaining. I bought it on impulse without any research and regret it. I am literally throwing this away.
