31 August 2013
  • Excerpt: Christmas in the year of our Lord 2010 has seen a nice number of children exercise video games. You have probably read my Just Dance Kids review by now. If not, you really should. Heavy on branding but very well made.

  • Summary: Parents need to know that Kidz Bop Dance Party: The Video Game works pretty hard to push the Kidz Bop brand. But frankly, if your kids want to play this game, they're probably already familiar with the Kidz Bop brand. The game asks players to dance along to recent pop hits sung by kids with edited lyrics (though some of the songs still contain somewhat mature themes). It's worth noting that the clothing you can use to dress your avatar is all age-appropriate.

  • Summary: Fans of Kidz Bop (don't worry, we don't expect you to confess in the comments section) can buy these songs on the much more versatile (and fitting) compact disc format. That would be less expensive for them as well. Kidz Bop Dance Party! The Video Game is about as interesting as it can be to shake a Wii Remote while things completely unrelated to your gestures unfold on the screen before you, and if that does sound like fun, do yourself a favour and stand in the middle...
