Summary: I am always on the look out for co-op games I can play with my daughter and she loved this one. The co-op is split screen. The controls are easy (not realistic). There are lots of activities and challenges. It is cartoony, but it is still fun flying around in strange landscapes. You do need to beat a "boss" in a race to advance to the next level and one of them was hard (ie. frustrating because we kept trying and failing).
Summary: Cute game for a child. My 4 year old daughter played this on Wii till she was 6 and loved the game. There were a few minor issues with some of the harder challenges like the races and time trials, but evenw ith that she loved every second of playing. Highly recommended.
Summary: Bought this for my 7 and 4 year old boys. The 4 year old LOVES to fly the plane into the water. Again. again. and again. I feel like he could probably play the game it was intended to play but he can't get past how funny it is to get the plane in the water. The 7 year old was distracted from skylanders for a day or two and then he got sucked back in. I played it a couple of times and enjoyed it. I think it is a solidly good game.
Summary: My boys love this game. Its pretty juvenile but they can sit and play this all afternoon! They enjoy the missions and absolutley love unlocking new planes / helicopters! Great for the younger kids, not so for probably the 10 and up.
Summary: We borrowed this from the library and liked it so much we needed one of our own. It's a little challenging to get used to, but after a while it's a lot of fun. The graphics are cute and I'm thinking you unlock more stuff the longer you play it. The first round of games gets a little old, but my husband even likes just flying around. I'd say this is perfect for kids under 12. (Okay, and the occasional adult too!
Summary: My family has had lots of fun playing this one. It is very kid friendly and my hubby liked that controls for the different planes behaved differently... bi-plane flies like a bi-plane, low-wing responds appropriately. He flies model airplanes. Someone mentioned the limit on characters and saving games... they are right its very annoying. We are a family of 5 (3 girls 2 boys). But oh well the game itself is fun.... our son (6yo) loves doing a flyby on the arm animals.
Summary: This is an excellent kid's game for the Wii. My 7-yr old loves it. He mastered the controls relatively quickly. The controls are quite responsive as well (compared to wii sports resort, the controls are not that smooth, but game play in this game is far better than in wii resort). You simply tilt the wii remote for pitch, yaw and roll. Push 2 for acceleration and 1 for brake. The game has three islands that you unlock one by one.
