Summary: Frustrating Controls. Minimal Education Value. Slow Loading; does not keep childs attention. I should have heeded the majority Amazon reviews. Some ~parent choice~ site said this was a great educational game for kids... they must have been getting paid by the developer. With the game being intended for young children I would expect it to take greater advantage of the motion capabilities of the Wii (move right to go right, etc), instead of relying heavily on precise...
Summary: Got this for my 5 and 4 year olds, they are very good about playing games without adult assistance, but this one they can't leave me alone. Pros: 1. kids like the way the game looks. Cons: 1. kids can't actually play it themselves. the controls are not intuitive, and my kids have mastered several games geared towards adults. I have a hard time making any meaningful progress in this game, so understand child frustration. 2.
Lousy controls, mediocre graphics, confusing interface, etc.

Summary: My wife bought this game for our four-year-old. Where to start? The controls are really crude for a Wii game, and the onscreen menus are unforgivably confusing for a children's game. The graphics are primitive, yet somehow manage to tax the Wii graphics hardware at times, and still require load screen after load screen to access the various buildings. The gameplay mechanic is hopelessly confusing.
Summary: I got this for my 3.5 year old. She was so excited to play but the load times seemed to be very long. Considering every move you make causes a new load screen this can get old quick. While moving around the game I didn't find many "games" for my daughter. I have recently tried a nickelodeon wii game that was one game after another. Would not recommend this game for anyone. If you HAVE to try it out for you self make sure you get it in the bargain bin.
Summary: This is very disappointing. This cannot be viewed in South Africa as it is not compatable with the Wii consoles sold in this country. I have already sent one back and got a replacement which is still not compatable. It is disappointing as my daughter LOVES jump start and was really excited about getting it on Wii.
Summary: I originally bought this game for my 4 year old who is almost 5. She is at an average learning level and tolerance for her age. This game did not compel her to want to keep playing at all. She could not figure out how to do things or navigate very easily. She knows how to play other Wii games and is quite good at them. I think I would definitely have to say that this game is pretty much a waste of money.
Cute game but most 3 yr olds can't manuever a Wii remote

Summary: I give JumpStart 2 thumbs up for trying but the reality is most 3 or 4 yr olds can't manuever the Wii remote in these type games. My 3 almost 4 year old can beat just about anyone at Wii sports bowling and boxing but she can not manuever the remote in these childrens games (too much mandatory moving for this age child). Don't waste your money...Wait until their a bit older then buy them games for the Wii.
Summary: I had had great success with the PC-based Jumpstart games, so we bought this for my two littler children who are loving their new Wii. Unfortunately, as many other reviewers have related, this game is poorly programmed and executed. None of the intuitiveness of good Wii games is present in this one - controls are jumpy, erratic and difficult to execute, even for adults.
Summary: I have several Jump Start games for PC. I was hoping the Wii version would have better graphics, better interaction, and overall capture my 5 year olds attention. Nope, they just took the PC game graphics and all and ported it to the Wii.
