Excerpt: Iron Man is one of Marvel Comics most flawed heroes. He is also one of the most fragile. Injured by his own weapons of war, technology is his savior and his prison. This near death experience makes him do some soul searching, and he decides to clean up his own mess. He creates a suit of armor, and works to take his company a different direction. Which is some measure of an improvement from being a pompous, cocky, greedy, sex enslaved, womanizing drunk.
Bland movie-based action game -- awkward controls.

Summary: Parents need to know that this game is based on the Iron Man movie and that it contains some violence, but no blood or gore. Iron Man enemies involve soldiers, tanks, and other heavily-armored vehicles. Explosions litter the landscape, but you won't see any blood. Character Tony Stark is known to drink in his comic book persona, so don't be surprised if the occasional reference pops up.
Excerpt: Investing in a game based on a licensed movie or product can be a risky experience. With my time at this site, I\’ve had the task of reviewing numerous licensed games on both the Wii and the DS. The quality of such games varies from the passable to the downright abysmal. It\’s a theme I\’ve discussed on several occasions in the past.
Excerpt: Held captive in a cave by soldiers armed to the teeth with weapons of his own design, Tony Stark ponders his fate. Faced with the ugly truth about the world he has helped create, he resolves to turn his genius to other purposes. Stark constructs a high-tech suit of armor and becomes Iron Man, embarking on a quest to ferret out the evil fueled by his creations and salvage his shameful family legacy.
Pros: Flying at high speeds, Mowing down soldiers with your Gatling gun
Cons: Dull, unengaging combat, Bland, sad visuals, Makes being a wealthy playboy genius in a superpowered flight suit seem boring
Excerpt: It's so easy to be disappointed with a superhero videogame. They always start off with such great potential. After all, who wouldn't want to play as some dude who can fly around and punch other dudes through walls? The problem is, superhero games very rarely live up to our expectations.
Excerpt: If you've seen the Iron Man movie then you'll already know that it's awesome... possibly one of the best superhero movies in recent years. The game follows the film pretty closely in all respects except quality.
Conclusion: Iron Man won’t change the Movie game genre any time soon but, for a game based on running round and killing everything I did enjoy playing it. Not as much as playing Smash Bros Brawl or Space Invaders Extreme but enough to keep my interest till the end. Fans of the series should rent this and have some fun, and others could try it out if found in the bargain bin.
Pros: Fun game play., Good varied weapons., 10 hours single player campaign.
Cons: No replay value., No multiplayer., Sloppy graphical support., Some bad control choices.
