Summary: I'm not a big fan of console games but really became interested in this game as a life-long fan of Indy car racing. I'm having a great time playing the missions on this game, they are challenging enough to keep you interested and playable enough to move through to the next level. It's fun to see and drive these old cars and progress through the years.
Summary: This game teaches you Indy history and you get to experience the technical advances of those cars over time. Some of those old cars are really hard to drive. One negative though. It would not recognize my Logitech Wii racing wheel. Driving cars with a controller is just not adequate. Some cars get very loose when floored and unfortunately the Wii controller does have good linear gas pedal control so you tend to spin out easily.
Summary: Overall satisfied, though the instructions are not too good. It took me a while to figure out how to make some progress. The driving experience is very good and you need to be very focused to succeed. If you like pure, raw racing, this is a good game for you.
Summary: The experience is quite nice, since you start your career in 1961 and wins make available new cars ans missions. YOU REALLY HAVE TO BE PRECISE WHEN DRIVING, NOT MUCH CHANCE TO RECOVER IF YOU MAKE A MISTAKE.
Summary: Cool cars, cool action. You can set this up to be easy or as challenging as you like. Not the stupid racing with cartoon cars and cartoon drivers. I've raced this as a PC game, and when I heard it was coming out for the Wii, I couldn't wait, and certainly wasn't disappointed!
Summary: I grew up close to the Indianapolis Motor Speedway back in the 1960's and remember the cars and drivers included in this game very well. The historical facts included are great as are the video clips. The game is challenging and brings back good memories.
Summary: I bought this for myself after getting my kids the Wii console. As a racing nut for pc and not too enthused by the games available on PS2 and PS3 I found this game an excellent option. The graphics though not equivelent to a pc game are sufficient. The game itself is quite enjoyable and competitive especially once you finish the Missions Mode and upgrade cars.Well worth the $20 spent.
Summary: I love the racing game and this is a fun one. Only problem i have is that I cannot get past the qualifying. Will have to bring in a video junky to get me past that so I can race with the big guys!! But what I can get into is alot of fun! Worth buying? YES!
Summary: Anyone who likes racing should pick up this game, especially with a price of approx. $30 or less. Like a previous reviewer mentioned, it seems to go slower when you have two racers, but only for the first lap or two. For my kids and I, we love the missions (including those that require you to accomplish what some racing legends had to do during the Indy 500). Meeting the goals of these missions helps to unlock new missions and years (from 1961-71).
