Summary: == HARVEST MOON MAGICAL MELODY == The Harvest Moon games have been one of my favourite game series of all time since the very first one way back on the SNES. Harvest Moon Magical Melody is just like all the other Harvest Moon games and requires you to live your life in a town and run a farm from pretty much out of nothing. Harvest Moon Magical Melody is a social simulation game and is a massive amount of fun. The game is available for the Wii and GameCube.
The original, and still the best, farming game in town!

Summary: Having played Harvest Moon in the Game Cube I was very excited to see a Wii version was being released and waited in eager anticipation of it's release! Harvest Moon isn't for everyone and I'd go as far as to say it's probably a Marmite game, you either love it or hate it. The basic idea is that you're a young farmer with a small patch of land and your aim is to farm the land and raise livestock to earn money, to expand the farm and eventually to find a girl to marry.
Pros: Keeps you occupied for hours, days even! Loads of activities and variables
Cons: If you want a fast paced game that you can complete in a few weeks this isn't for you
Excerpt: I can see this game being very addictive, I rented it to see what it was like because I had previous Harvest Moon games which I loved playing, and this is pretty much the same. Managing a farm might not sound that much fun, but it is fairly addictive, and there is loads more too it that just making the best crops such as festivals and relationship building with other characters. The graphics have also changed, but I do think that this is a great change.
Harvest Moon: Magicial Melody (Wii): If you have a DS buy harvest moon for that rather than for t ...

Summary: After playing Harvest moon on the Nintendo DS (never actually finished it but love playing it) we made a family purchase for the wii so that we could all play and watch together. What a big disappointment, the game is not at all what I was expecting, like the DS game you have to be a boy you can't decide what sex to be which is fine but you would think that the developers would have added some extra options.
Pros: Whole family are able to watch play
Cons: Have to play as a boy, only uses the joystick and buttons
Summary: Having played and enjoyed many harvest moon games in the past, i was eager to try out a game on the Wii. I had images of me running around, stroking cows with the Wii controller, and watering plants happily by tipping the Wii remote like a watering can. What i got, however, was not as fun...NOT FUN AT ALL! After a long (boring) introduction, i can play my wierd looking character. trying to set up my farm was a VERY annoying and frustrating challenge.
Pros: If you can get past the poor controls it could be enjoyable
Summary: This has to be my favorite Wii game so far, i played it so much we had to set up a second tv in the lounge so that I could play while my boyfriend was watching the football! While its not high energy its completely addictive, you have a little farm and have to grow crops, build a house and find a girl to marry. while collecting notes with which to free the harvest queen with.
Summary: ****Harvest moon-magical melody**** I don't usually buy the same game on more than one device as there is usually so many games i want but since i loved the ds version i decided to give the wii version a try. Harvest moon is a game where you can grow crops, raise livestock,go fishing , mining etc.Unlike the ds version you don't have to find 101 sprites. In this one the harvest goddess has turned to stone because no one except the harvest sprites believed in her.You have to...
