Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility Review

Cheat Code Central
4 December 2009
  • Conclusion: Harvest Moon has been a staple Nintendo franchise for a decade now, and at first glance it is easy to see why. The farm-simulation game is instantly charming and its task-based gameplay appeals to both the casual and hardcore sect. Harvest Moon is always fun and always engaging, but as the years go by and more and more iterations of this classic franchise are released, it becomes more apparent that it is always the same.

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility review

Gameplanet
14 December 2009
  • Excerpt: Basically the same old Harvest Moon formula with a few new features, but a pleasant little diversion from the pressures and pace of real life - and good value for money.
  • Pros: The Wii remote lends a real ‘hands-on’ feel to some of the activities; simple to get into and still addictive as ever.
  • Cons: Camera angles are sometimes awkward; load times are frequent and lengthy

Harvest Moon: Tree of Tranquility [Wii] Review

WiiDS.co.uk
28 October 2009
  • Excerpt: Firstly, I have to clear up the fact that while I am familiar with the Harvest Moon series and have heard much about its role playing greatness, I have never actually played it in any form. I have played similar games, and they are just my cup of tea, so I’m hoping that this experience is as sweet as I expect it to be. The first thing you will notice about the game is its long but charming introduction.
  • Pros: Character interaction and social aspect is good, Visually pleasing, You want to keep playing to find out what happens in your next “day”
  • Cons: Controls are too sensitive at times, Too little focus on the main storyline, Some parts of the game are slow to load, interrupting game play
