Developer: Vicarious Visions Publisher: Activision Features 1-2 Players 1-2 Players Online Guitar Peripheral Nintendo Wi-Fi Network Leaderboards I was somewhat late to the Guitar Hero craze. My introduction to the franchise did not start until Guitar Hero III. I played both the Xbox 360 and Nintendo Wii versions and I actually had the chance to review the latter. Well Guitar Hero is getting ready to launch number four in their franchise, however to bridge the gap until... Read more

THE VERDICT: Of the few thousand songs in my iTunes library not one is by Aerosmith. I listened to Pump when it came out in 1989, but apart from that, my knowledge of the band is limited to what I've heard while browsing music TV or radio. Despite this, I enjoyed the band's Guitar Hero one-off. The note tracking is interesting and there is a good flow to the hammer-ons and pull-offs. There are only a few songs that would compel me to buy the game outright, but I did come... Read more

When Guitar Hero: Aerosmith was first announced, the general public speculated that a game based on only one band would surely be a hoax. However, there is nothing fake about it; and with other band-centric versions of the classic rhythm game, such as Guitar Hero: Metallica, on the way, Guitar Hero Aerosmith is the lab rat for this venture. It works - provided you actually like Aerosmith... because if you don't, a whole game focused on the one band might not be for you.... Read more
