Summary: I have the Wii dance and also a number of the Wii Fit editions...but Dance Workout is definitely the best dance exercise game that I have found for the Wii. Seriously...whoever designed this game did a fabulous job. It is difficult without being difficult to understand. The workouts make you put in the effort, without all of the confusion about what you're supposed to do and how you track your exercise...all while making you sweat.
Summary: I really am enjoying the fun workouts. The workouts are short and really get my heart pumping. One good feature is that during a workout picked by your personal trainer, you have a heart rate checkpoint. The only negative thing i would have to say about this workout is that the game does not tell you how much total time you have worked out for the day. For example, you can do all the practice dance routines, but the game does not give you a total time of workout.
Summary: This was much harder than I had hoped for. I am a 62 year old grandma who thought it would be fun to get back in shape by dancing. At regular speed I have a hard time keeping up. At slow speed it is too slow and keeps repeating the same step over and over until you kick it back on to normal speed, by that time I'm way behind again. I also presumed it was all dance.
Summary: Someone made a comparison with Just Dance, well I think they are two different thing at all. I found this one more into an aerobics working out rather than only dance, as I would probably describe Just Dance instead. With Dance Workout I feel to accomplish more my daily workout when I cannot go to the gym or my Zumba lesson. Also, you can practice your Latin moves and learn basic steps.
Summary: I had surgery on my stomach September 2012, and for some reason my stomach would not go down. I have always had a flat stomach, even after giving birth to four kids, my stomach went back to size. I was determine to flatten my stomach, I did sit ups, crunches, nothing seem to work. I was online looking for some Wii games for my kids, and I saw the dance workout. I figure why not give it a try. I also purchased the waist trimmer belt by Gold GYm.
Summary: A good variety of exercises, all with music which I find a big help. Fairly easy to follow the steps. You can do a programmed workout or make your own, or just pick which exercises you want to do. Also gives you calories burned.
Summary: I recently have become addicted to Zumba and saw this as another avenue to incorporate exercise and fun into my day. The program is very limited and the "mini games" are just that...only the most basic movements (definitely not calorie burning). The "dance" routines are very short, the music (they advertise great songs) lacks and the movements are jerky and borning. The overall layout of the program is poor and the graphics are sub-par.
