The Ghost Squad video game was originally designed for game play on the Chihiro board of Sega, but a Wii-format version of this rail-shooter type video game has also been produced for Nintendo.

The player can play Ghost Squad either in single-player mode, or in multi-player mode. The Wii Zapper takes the place of the Sega arcade-style IR Light Gun weapon for this Wii-format version. The story line of the game revolves around the so-called Ghost Squad which is the name of the special forces unit that carries out specialized and sensitive missions for the United Nations but are not supposed to be detected before, during or after the mission has been completed. The player can use the Wii Zapper to halt hostages, defuse a bomb, and take aim easily at your opponents. Ghost Squad allows the player to use 25 weapons and up to 14 uniforms, to progress through the 48 levels of difficulty.

Review Summary

Ghost Squad is some type of an arcade game which you can finish very fast and easily.. You just have to point the gun at the screen and shoot terrorists till you die because you have done a lot of shooting, or you continue till the end with a high score. If you complete a mission, there are two more about the same length. But each level comes with a series branching routes, meaning that you won’t come across the same scenes every time. Those who are fully immersed in this game, know that there's a memory card system that records your data and tracks your progress on any Ghost Squad machine you may find. The best thing is that it grows as your ability increases. Each completion adds an experience level to your character, unlocking a new weapon. It also brings about more difficulties. That’s why bad guys require more shots to die with your new machine gun, the reason is that they have all got some body armour to better protect themselves. Actually the game is quite simple, you either kill the enemies or you dies. The best is that the enemies just appear from behind objects and shoot at you if you don't kill them in time.
