Bizarre Creations created the Nintendo Wii video game called Geometry Wars: Galaxies for publisher Sierra. The game is classified as a multi-directional shooter sequel to another video game called Geometry Wars: Galaxies.

With this Wii version of Geometry Wars: Galaxies the player can do either a widescreen scan display or a 480p progressive game play. Both the single-player mode and the multi-player mode are supported on this video game. To win in the Galaxies version, the player needs to try to stay alive for as long as it can be done while earning points through the elimination of other enemies. The main mode of game play is also called Galaxies. For the multi-player play, the player can try the Cooperative mode, or the Simultaneous mode of game play. The game play is terminated if the lives run out. Every new level of play is dubbed a “galaxy” so progression is from galaxy to galaxy to pursue game play.

Review Summary

Geometry Wars Galaxies is space-themed. You travel into the galaxy, shooting at little glowing things. If you shoot successfully they will yield “geoms” which, you collect to be used as in-game currency and combo multipliers. The main feature is to unlock solar systems and planets by paying to access them. And you can also use the geoms to alter the behavior of your little helper; which is a dumb drone that just follows you wherever you go. It can later be used as a stationary turret, as a defensive measure that rapidly circles your ship. These geoms can be used to unlock new galaxies and planets, as well as to buy upgrades for your drone. Its role is to follow your ship around, following your command to attack enemies. As you go further into the game you can buy new upgrades that determine the attacks. You can program it to hover close and defend you, get at enemies with more powerful but less frequent shots, act as bait to draw enemies away, or just run around collecting more geoms. Each level comes with a gold/silver/bronze medal system for high scores and remember that you can pick only one skill for each stage you play. Geometry Wars Galaxies is worth especially with the added galaxies mode and the multiplayer functionality gives the game another experience.
