Excerpt: It was a real treat for me to play and review Fishing Master World Tour. I had played this particular Wii game at E3, and it impressed me with its immersive game play, along with the ease of controls. Plus Hudson has been known for some real gems in their time (need I remind all ya'll of Kororinpa Marble Mania? Most fishing games are arcade style, or realistic simulation style. Hudson took the road not as traveled, and went right in between the two.
Summary: Parents need to know that this fishing game is rated "Everyone" by the ESRB but it does contain some mild swearing. Kids will hear the main character and some of the people he'll interact with utter the occasional phrase such as "I'll kick your butt" or "Damn, you're a good angler." That said, the game is playing online so be aware conversations in a chat window might be more graphic than this.
Conclusion: If you are expecting a quality fishing title from Fishing Master World Tour, you are going to hate this game. However, if you, or a child you know, found Animal Crossing's fishing mini-game addictive and engaging, know that Master Fishing World Tour is far superior and may be right up your/their alley.
