Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn (Wii)

ablegamers.com
5 January 2010
  • Excerpt: Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn is a game that belongs to the small genre sometimes called “turn-based strategy”; and it is one of the best. It is a strategy game, in turns, but argument’s importance of game is great and you only control a small team of characters who are improving their skills, and you must execute a mix between strategy and role. The battleground is divided into boxes and movements appear as if we were moving pieces on a board game.

  • Conclusion: If you are a Simmer, or if you are fascinated by the series in any way, then by all means, get The Sims 3 . It's a fantastic addition to the series, improving upon the winning formula with tons of new customization options, an awesome new living town, and an endless number of possibilities that will keep you coming back for a very long time.

Mature life sim with more personality than ever.

Common Sense Media
3 October 2008
  • Summary: Parents need to know that this is a life simulation game where you can create your own Sim and then control its life. Players can make Sims' personalities nuanced and life-like by assigning body characteristics and traits that include romantic, artistic, brave, kleptomaniac, neurotic, snob, and even "evil," which can influence desires, behavior, and job opportunities. Sims can enter into both heterosexual and same-sex relationships; and they can die.

Fantasy strategy game more mature than it looks.

Common Sense Media
3 October 2008
  • Summary: Parents need to know that this game involves mild but frequent fantasy battles. While the violence is relatively tame, characters who perish remain dead for the rest of the game -- a significant and potentially unsettling departure from most games. The high difficulty level could frustrate players who have never played a turn-based strategy game before. Because of this difficulty, we set the age at 11.

Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn Review

GameSpot
30 September 2008
  • Excerpt: The Fire Emblem series of strategy role-playing games is best known for two things: deep, compelling stories and challenging tactical battles. War-devastated nations, subtle political machinations, and young heroes who rise to the occasion of defeating abject evil to save their people have all been hallmarks of the epic stories that take place, and Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn attempts to follow this tried-and-true storytelling method but somehow gets mired along the way.
  • Pros: Fantastic cel-shaded 3D cutscenes, Good variety of mission goals, Allows midbattle saving, Ability to port clear-game data from Path of Radiance
  • Cons: Laughable plot, Frustrating difficulty will alienate newcomers, Doesn't even try to adapt and make use of the Wii, Little to no improvement graphically over its GameCube predecessor
