Realistic ski resort with added Wii fun!

Ali P, amazon.co.uk
17 January 2011
  • Summary: Very realistic ski resort which I think would be a good introduction to prepare people that have never been skiing before on what to expect. For example trying to get onto the right lift to get you to the ski run you want to do. Also great for people reminiscing previous trips. However it also has the Wii magic touch making it great fun for everyone enabling you to do impossible ski jumps and tricks you wouldn't dare try in real life and even silly things like ski up...

Good fun if you liked Family Ski

Peter Bonte, amazon.co.uk
1 November 2010
  • Summary: Few ski games for the Wii are good but we liked "Family Ski" a lot and "Family Ski And Snowboard" is even better, 1 mountain in resort style and a freestyle mountain. Both versions of the game are good fun but i can't recommend having both "Family Ski" And "Family Ski And Snowboard" except if you want more variation of the same like we did. Overall a very good ski game for the family, recommended.

Seems OK

Calomax "Calomax", amazon.co.uk
26 October 2010
  • Summary: We have only tried it out but it seems as though it'll be good once we can come to grips with it. At present we are concentrating on WiiFit Plus and not spending much time on other games.

Great Fun For All The Family

A. Marczak "mazzarak", amazon.co.uk
5 February 2010
  • Summary: At first glance, this game might seem quite similar to its predecessor, Family Ski, particularly if you are not inclined to snowboard. The principles of skiing and snowboarding are essentially the same as the first game (although the snowboarding requires you to be at an angle to the screen), which is good for previous players to get straight in. The format is the same. Runs, varying difficulty, lifts, challenges and games.

A Good stocking filler

G. Moss, amazon.co.uk
4 January 2010
  • Summary: All in all a fun game for all the family. True it's a bit limited and can get boring and repetitive for the older family members but for younger kids it was a hit. There is enough to keep them happy. It works well in conjunction with the Wii balance Board, which gives it a nice feel and really makes the game for me. For multiple players it can get a little busy on screen, a large HDTV will help.

great fun from 5years old

W. Marsh, amazon.co.uk
19 November 2009
  • Summary: This is just what I wanted. A game that everyone can enjoy and laugh to. Doesn't take itself too seriously. My 5 year old can manage it fine too, so it's a game to share. Although as we use the balance board one 1 player at a time.

Very good but not as good as Shaun White Snowboarding.

Dragonlord, amazon.co.uk
27 May 2009
  • Summary: Family Ski & Snowboard is better as a family game then Shaun White Snowboarding because it is more basic to play. I have been a gamer for over 20 years and it's nice to see my whole family enjoying some of my Wii games at last. I enjoy being able to use my Mii in this game and at the moment I perfer the skiing to the snowboarding.

A great sequal

Hugh Gallagher, amazon.co.uk
4 April 2009
  • Summary: I confess, as much as I enjoyed the first Wii Family Ski game, I really didn't play it as much as I should. I found peace in the relaxing atmosphere, and was impressed with the games implementation of the Balance Board controls, but the complete lack of any sense of achievement disappointed me. I'd win a race, and nobody would care. I'd collect 56 ski goggles in a single run, and nobody would give a hoot.
