Summary: I've been enjoying this game on Wii with a driving wheel on a 50" plasma with surround sound. I would have no interest playing this without a force-feedback driving wheel though. This is one of the only games that works with the Logitech wheel we have...so I paid a premium for a used copy of this classic game--$50.
Summary: If you are a Formula 1 fan this is a great game....the tracks are very realistic and fun to get personally familiar with. The newer versions aren't made for the Wii, so this was the best available. The steering wasn't as responsive as I would have liked, easy to over or under steer, and it had "gaming" touches as in you could get right back onto the track after crashing, but over all it's a fun F1 racing game.
Summary: Nice game -very realistic. gave me new respect for the formula 1 drivers. Bought this game used in very good condition. With driving games as a kid I was always turning the device in my hand to no avail, it's really cool to turn the remote and the car turns with you.
Summary: When I saw the prices on here I couldn't believe how much this was, but I was so lucky to stumble upon this title used at Game Stop for only $17.99. I don't think they realized what a gem they had. If you are thinking about purchasing this I definitely would. The game play is great, I would suggest using the nunchuck attachment over the one controller steering that is the default.
Summary: This is really the BEST racing game for the Wii. I paired this with the Logitech Wireless Wii wheel available for the cheap on Amazon (and also modified it to fit on a Xlerator Wheel Stand). I have F1-2010 for the PS3 and let me tell you that Wii F1 2009 beats F1-2010 hands down. The PS3 version has some kind of light filters on it which makes details look blurry and fuzzy (like when trying to see brake markers). The graphics are very dark too.
Summary: I know that Wii games are not always for "hardcore" gamers but this 50+ lifelong F1 fan is having so much fun with this. I understand that there was no 2010 F1 produced for Wii as the game has become too sophisticated. The 2009 version is great as long as you are not too fussy about competing with last years drivers, teams and courses.
Coolest, most realistic race car game I have ever played.
North Star, Amazon
4 November 2010
Summary: The graphics are amazing. The game is at times overly complex and detailed, probably made for the serious driver which I am not. I still love it though and am learning as I continue to play. While the wheel that I purchased apparently doesn't work on many other games, it still was well worth it!
Summary: Finally a Wii game for the two-fisted man-child in all of us! This is as close as you are ever going to get to a racing simulator for the Wii! Get this game and get the Logitech Force Wireless Wheel to go with it and you won't regret it! Logitech Wii Speed Force Wireless Wheel WARNING: Make sure you have plenty of vacation time, as you may not want to leave the house for at least a week! Highly reccomended!
Summary: I am not a young gamer but i have done some racing and know a little about it. this game is pretty realistic and damn hard (for me anyway) it is very challenging for me and I like it, because you can get better, and like in the real world just when you think your hot stuff everything goes horrably wrong. HA HA it is fun and I like the realness and the challenge. the game seems to me to be very user friendly and uncomplicated.
