Summary: EXCITE BOTS, brought to you by the makers of EXCITE TRUCK. I did not play excite truck, but for some reason after watching the game's initial reveal, something just clicked. Excite bots is your standar-no it's not, it's not your standard racing game beside having to race laps. Your racer is a robot animal ranging from frogs to beetles, to bats and whatever the heck, there are numerous robots to unlock.
Summary: Excitebots is the sequel to one of the launch titles Excite Truck for the Wii. If you remember Excite Trucks and its exhilarating gameplay full of huge jumps, improbable stunts, and ridiculous speed, you'll be happy to know that this is all kept intact in Exitebots. This time, however, the fun is even greater thanks to tighter controls and a huge boost in wackiness.
Summary: This game is amazing. The grachics are great and the control is good. I thought riding animal robots was really cool. My favorite was the bat robot. The coarces are very veried. You can jump off huge ramps and go flying in the air. If I had a choice to buy this or mario kart wii,I would chose this. The robots are expensive which will make you replay the coarces again and again, which is this games biggest problem.
Summary: This is a must have for anyone who liked the ExciteTruck game. This version is even more fun, with lots more tricks and challenges. Best of all, the bots are all bugs. My 3 year old loves watching us play. Even though he cannot play himself he loves telling us which bot to use and which color, and he loves all the silly in-game challenges (nice tambourine, pie face, butterfly rescue, etc). You really cannot go wrong with this.
Summary: Let me start by saying that I am not a fan of racing games for the most part. Before this, the last time I played a racing game was Mario Kart 64. Now that we have that out of the way let me just say that for certain reasons I found myself playing this game for a long long time. I have to say that as gimmick racing titles go this one is loads of fun. I would rank it head and shoulders above even the newest Mario Kart title for the Wii.
Summary: The racing in this game is cool. Totally non-realistic but makes use of terrain of the courses and the controller. Lots of jumps and some off track 'secret' parts to find. You're still constrained to the basic track path, though. Can't just go exploring. There are a lot of levels in racing skill but only about 6 or 8 different tracks. Our 9 year old has had no problem picking up this game. She just wishes it was easier to unlock more of the cars.
Summary: I first played this game when a friend brought it over to my place and after about four hours of playing, I had to purchase it for myself! The controls take some getting used to as you need to tilt the Wii remote to steer. This is not your traditional racing game - there are bowling, poker and pie-throwing games that are played WHILE YOU ARE RACING! It is not for the faint-of-heart or the new gamer in your life. Great game - highly recommended!
