Conclusion: It's probably not fair to expect so much from a developer just because they've made some aggressive claims about a game they've not even finished yet. Still, with so many hopes pinned to The Conduit, it's hard not to cringe a little at the mistakes in Evasive Space. The game takes an innovative premise and executes it in a way that's incredibly frustrating to deal with. It's so frustrating, in fact, that few people will find it worth the $10 asking price.
Excerpt: When a game features a hero named Konki the Stellar Guardian and a bad guy called Dr. Dark Matter, the review sort of writes itself. It isn't the absurd childish character names that make Evasive Space an awful slog though; it's the controls. This WiiWare top-down shooter with a twist (there's no shooting) is based on an impressive premise of escaping every nasty situation that enemies throw at you, which gives the game an addictive puzzle vibe.
Pros: Having to evade enemies instead of shoot them is interesting
Cons: Control scheme is a total mess, Level design is far too exacting, Time limits are too tight
