Summary: After all the rave reviews of this game I was somewhat disappointed with this due to one thing: actually getting in the water and swimming is gated by some annoying quest-like mechanics. One would expect to load up the game, go through a movement tutorial (this does happen) and then start swimming in various reefs from around the world. But no. There is a pointless choose hairstyle and skin tone step first. Then you have to walk around on a boat and talk to an NPC.
Summary: I was disappointed with this game, had it on my Nintendo wii and although the graphics were great to see and also the lagoon,I soon got lost and soon got bored as I didnt grasp what I had to do next and although I tried hard,I soon found out this game wasnt for me.
Summary: Yes, I heard good things about this game, so bought it. Was worth it. Call me old school, but I didn't know there were games like this... swimming around... just checking out the scenery. I think it was made in Japan. It draws heavily on the Pacific Islands (where it seems to be based). Add the New Zealand songs and you've got a recipe for success. And the best bit is... you don't need to like Haley Westenra to like the game (it just helps).
Summary: Very relaxing game, with goood graphics and a very unusual concept. Certainly good fun, and my kids love it, but it can get a little repetitive after a while. Still, there's always House of the Dead for when you're tired of being nice to strange animals!
Summary: I agree that this wouldn't really be classed as a game but the attempt at making it so is actually annoying. There is a bit of a storyline to follow between exploring different areas of the ocean and it more or less gets in the way of some good exploring. Maybe I haven't spent enough time with it yet to fully enjoy it. I will give it a plug for the interesting sea life to observe. There are some neat aspects and an opportunity to gain some knowledge.
Excerpt: "My brother borrowed Endless Ocean off one of his friends and being the great big sister I offered to play on it with him for a bit the other night. Your character for the entire game is a diver and your task as far as I can tell is to complete as many dives as possible and complete small missions. The game begins with you getting the option to choose your character. Now I have to admit that the options here are limited and to be honest you only ...
Not enough to do to keep it interesting for long periods of time

Summary: I bought this game as I really liked the concept of the game with it being relaxed, open ended game play with opportunity to pretty much do your own thing. There is no strict story line, just a few relaxed goals to give the game a bit of structure and these can be completed in your own time. The ocean is split up into different areas and sometimes it will ask you to explore a certain area etc.
Summary: A great game if your just looking to mess around for a while, but it can get very boring. Also, it isn't the most realistic of diving simulators Firstly, you can bounce from 30m to the surface as much as you like and nothing happens, And secondly, the Guy breathes like a fish, the air lasts forever even at 60m. Great effort and a good game, but do not buy if your looking for a dive simulator.
