Excerpt: I honestly tried to like this game... the premise was all there, the game ideas were also there, however where the game failed to make an impression was with the gameplay that unfortunately bombed out and to compound the situation, the annoying voice-overs and clichéd and sometimes downgrading commentary was a little too much, even for this seasoned Wii veteran.
Excerpt: Emergency Mayhem is one of the most interesting blending of styles I have ever seen. This Nintendo Wii game from Codemasters is part Crazy Taxi, and part WarioWare. The city is in crisis, and the player gets to take the role of the police, fire department, and ambulance to bring the panic down. Some of the missions require the player drive as fast as possible to the destination, whereas others require the player to play a mini game (put that fire out for example).
Excerpt: Crisis City is swarming with activity. Pedestrians crowd the sidewalks. Traffic is thick and boasts a pleasing variety of vehicles, while the scenery is frequently beautiful with great draw distance. There's definitely a pleasing artistic aesthetic, with everything looking like it was ripped out of a particularly gorgeous cartoon. You'll find the occasional bland texture, sure, but overall this is one of the most visually arresting games to arrive on Wii to date.
