Rescue-worker game, with flawed controls.

Common Sense Media
28 November 2008
  • Summary: Parents need to know that in this game you can become a cop, fireman, or EMT. In those positions, you will witness or cause some violence, including running over pedestrians and criminals, shooting monkeys, and blowing things up. The game can be frustrating because both the controls and onscreen directions thwart you much of the time.

Emergency Mayhem

GamersHell.com
5 August 2008
  • Excerpt: If you haven’t figured it out by now, Nintendo’s Wii is the de facto home to casual games—some good, okay but a majority being oh-so horrible—as well as the aptly dubbed, shovelware. In this case, Supersonic’s Emergency Mayhem falls into the latter category as it helplessly struggles for the former. There’s not much to explain about Emergency Mayhem; the game is just a shallow, arcade-style driver.

Emergency Mayhem (Wii) Review

Vooks
29 June 2008
  • Excerpt: Emergency Mayhem is a fast and frantic take on the arcade racing genre that is unfortunately let down by too much repetition, rushed design and great ideas that don’t seem to have been fully explored. Inspired by the classic Crazy Taxi formula of racing fares across the city against the clock, Emergency Mayhem changes the player’s role from that of taxi driver to an emergency services worker racing to save Crisis City from complete chaos.

Wii Review - 'Emergency Mayhem'

WorthPlaying
10 June 2008
  • Summary: Emergency Mayhem combines chaotic driving sequences with arcade mini-games. You'll be in stitches controlling the frenzied police, fire service or paramedics as they dash around the city from one emergency situation to the next.

  • Excerpt: As Wii successfully engages the "casual" and "social" gamers, the tots and the grandparents of tots, kids and their parents, software expectations in general become notably lower than the "new generation" average. Emergency Mayhem for Wii does absolutely nothing to argue the point.

Emergency Mayhem

  • Excerpt: Name: Emergency Mayhem Genre: Mini-Game Compilation Platform: Wii The Wii is the perfect platform for mini-game collections.  The Wii-mote’s motion sensitivity gives you more gameplay options than any other platform when it comes to short-term, casual titles, and the platform has thrived on games like this.  Of course, for a minigame collection to succeed, even on the Wii, the mini-games actually haveto be fun.
