Elebits thrusts players into a game of hide and go seek as they try to track down a group of mysterious creatures.
A revolutionary game of hide and seek! Search high and low for mischievous little Elebits using the innovative features of the Nintendo Wii controller to push, pull, lift, throw and interact with anything and everything in the environment.
Conclusion: Lengthly review for such a simple game, I know. There's a lot going on, though. That said, anyone who tries this game will instantly get drawn into it and express how cool it is. It's extremely addictive, and you'll find yourself throwing objects around after you've completed the level just for the sake of throwing objects around. The game has some really interesting puzzles, and every level has a specific way of doing things to get the highest score possible.
Excerpt: Elebits is Konami’s first major title for the Wii, not including their Virtual Console releases. The game has an interesting concept that involves players capturing little creatures that generate light. By doing this, players can power up various fixtures within each area and ultimately meet the power watt goal for each level.
Summary: If only for how well it uses the Wii’s controller and for how much fun anyone can have with it, Elebits is a must have. I would easily place it among the Wii’s top five games at this point. But if you are not sure about the kiddie premise, rent it. I am sure you will have so much fun that you will want to buy it.
