Pure Play

Amazon
8 July 2009
  • Summary: The problem with EA Playground is it's just too simple. There are only seven real games, and not all of them are great fun. Everybody has to love Dodgeball and Slot Car Racing. Paper Racers and Kicks can be fun too depending on opinion. But Tetherball? Wall Ball? Dart Shootout?

Makes you want to play outside

N. Vincent, Amazon

  • Summary: [Written from Wii Internet Channel] If nothing else, the Kicks mini-game made my kids and I vow to play it, in real life, this Spring. Good for casual gamers and kids under 12 due to the variety of mini-games and sassy but cute characters from which to choose.

Not must own - but no purchasing regrets

H. Sapiens "Amanda", Amazon

  • Summary: This game is suitable for the entire family. However, it's the 3 year old that likes it the best. We mainly play as a family - and it does hold everyone's interest fairly well. Get tough on the schoolyard

Sick Daddy "Sick Daddy", Amazon

  • Summary: Playground has it's fun moments. It has an addicting quality to it's minigames as well. I liked it's layout of the playground and the total game dynamics, but I grew tired of most of the games after a couple days.

Decent game, lack replayability

M. Su "More Dessert", Amazon

  • Summary: The common Wii game problem is the lack of content. Playground has 8-9 mini games, but they are almost identical. Only really different and enjoyable game was the paintball shooting. Comparing the 8-9 game difficulty level, it's about as complex as 1 mini game in Rayman.

Not bad at all.

Mr. S. Wildman, Amazon

  • Summary: My 5 year old son likes this game, exploring the playground and playing the mini games. Don't expect anything amazing, but with around 7 games for £30 ish, it's not bad value and is all pretty nice....with a sporty theme. For young kids, it's worth it...similar in a way to Wii Sports....

Slight disappointment but generally ok

PostmanTim, Play.com

  • Conclusion: The game looks amaizing and the multi player is great fun. The single player games thou are simple and not demanding enough. The whole game took me just 1 afternoon to finish. It also lacks a bit of direction e.g. in kicks you cant actually aim where your shooting.
