Summary: I recommend this game if you are a parent who worries about their child playing some of the more crazier games on the market, and it's also a good game to play along with them. If your child has already been corrupted by violent or action packed games then don't even bother with PLAYGROUND because they will hate it and hate you for buying it.
Excerpt: When some one looks at the Wii's game catalogue they see game upon game upon game of "shovelware", games that have been released looking for a quick profit on the Wii's success. The sort of games that feature labels like "includes 25 fun games" and other such comments that may as well include the description of "Will keep children entertained for 25 minutes between them".
Pros: Fun, Good multiplayer, Good selection of games
Excerpt: Since its release, the Wii has received a lot of mini-game compilations. Some good, others terrible, but of all the mini-game collections out there, is this one to pick up or leave on the shelf? *The Mini-games* First of all, this game only has six mini-games which isn't a lot compared to other collections which boast over 40. However, if there are only six then they must surely all be of a very high quality?
Pros: Good for a younger age group, paper plane and racing mini - games lots of fun .
Cons: Just another mini - game collection, only 6 mini - games, mini - games can become boring quickly .
Excerpt: I bought EA Playground as I enjoy playing the mini games and using the Wii controller to throw things or to move around with. However, with this game I was disappointed, it is definitely aimed at children and is very easy so I got bored quickly and haven't played it since. This game can be played in single player mode or you can play against friends/family in multiplayer mode.
Pros: Good for kids
Cons: Doesn't keep you occupied, games too easy and dull
Excerpt: When the Wii was released its unique control system allowed mini-games to be more fun than usual, as the highly successful Wii sports and Wii play proved. It was inevitable then, that other developers would try and get in on the act, and grab as much of the new market as possible. So here we have EA playground; and it is exactly that. A collection of mini-games supposedly designed to use the Wii remote in different ways to keep the player entertained.
Pros: Controls work well, Graphics and characters help to add to fun mood
Summary: Very disappointed with this game, especially after reading such good reviews. Walking round the playground collecting marbles isn't my kind of thing. Would say it's more for children rather than adults.
