Summary: EA Playground captures the exuberance and nostalgia of your neighborhood playground, turning your gaming space into an arena of interactive fun with immersive activities designed for kids, and the kid inside all of us.
Conclusion: Although EA Playground is obviously meant for children, it falls short severely in depth. The comparisons to Wii Sports are inevitable, and since Wii Sports is free EA Playground is going to be hard pressed to compete with Nintendo's packaged in title. However, if you're able to look beyond the comparison to Wii Sports, EA Playground offers a lot to a younger gamer with some time to kill, especially if they've played Wii Sports to death already.

While there have been several minigame compilations since the Wii first started breaking expensive television sets, none have been able to meet the brilliance of Wii Sports . I hoped that finally one would. There are several games included with varying levels of complexity.
Excerpt: We'll be honest, we really wanted to like Playground less than we do. The early screenshots we got made the game look ugly and it just sounded like another bunch of mini-games. After completing the game we can indeed confirm that yes, it looks ugly and yes, it's just another bunch of mini-games. But for some reason, most of them are actually pretty enjoyable.
