Summary: I played this game last night. I don't think it's as fun as the original SNES Donkey Kong Country... I expected better graphics, I almost feel like it's more crisp and clear in the SNES version! I don't like how you can't play with diddy kong unless in 2 player mode. Maybe it will just take some getting used to.
Summary: Play this with my 6 year old and it is Okay, not great. Only thing I wish they had done was have some secret codes so you don't have to restart levels all the time. Young kids get frustrated easily and eventually the game will start collecting dust rather than continually trying a level. As my son says it gets boring doing the same level over and over.
Summary: Do you remember when games used to be hard? Nintendo does. Donkey Kong Country Returns is hard. It's "we'll make you cry in frustration" hard. I haven't beaten the game because there just came a point where I no longer made progress. Some of the bosses are difficult to figure out, and if you are working with a partner, then you have half as much life as you would if you were playing alone. My wife wanted this game so I bought it for her.
Summary: I bought it because it looked like a fun game and I always enjoyed the DK games in the past. This is another fun DK game, but I don't think Wii is utilizing DK to its full capabilities. It is similar to a super nintendo game when I think the Wii could make it more like the 64 version using the Wii controls. Overall, I do like this game.
Summary: If this were a new standalone game and not a sequel to an incredible series, it would be an okay game. If this were made by someone other than Retro, the developers of Metroid Prime, I would consider it a decent attempt. Unfortunately, the expectations are too high for this to be a Donkey Kong Country game made by Retro. The original Donkey Kong Countries had much more precise control than this, and rightly so, because DKC is a quintessential platformer.
Summary: donkey kong country returns is a very dramatic game you have the choices to be either donkey kong or diddy kong its brilliant the way you carry diddy kong on your back as you are donkey kong its a four star rating thats what i would say its really hard to master the game but you will get used to it eventually you can get health by collecting balloons from the hut at the beginning so bye it now jump right into the game and have fun
Summary: I played the SNES Donkey Kong countries some time ago and, while they were difficult, it is incredible that from world 3 onwards it becomes really difficult at some parts. I became a bit desperated to beat them at some points. While the SNES versions were a bit difficult, I don't remember that they were so much since the early stages of the game. Nevertheless, great game, good quality.
