Summary: I was pretty into video games when I was a kid. So naturally I played Donkey Kong on occasion at the arcade. Not one of my favorites then - but this version really shows how far games have advanced. It's not too often that I hop in front of the Wii, but I have to admit the game impressed me a great deal. It has a pretty simple learning curve in the side-scrolling format - But packs a great deal of fun and variety that keeps it challenging and exciting.
Summary: Like earlier Donkey Kong Country games, Donkey Kong Country Returns is a side-scrolling platformer, but although the game contains classic references, as well as levels and activities reminiscent of earlier games in the series, it is far from a remake. In fact, Donkey Kong Country Returns stands very much on its own not only in its nearly 3D status, but also in its new visual treatment and control scheme.
Summary: I had no idea it would be this fun. I was at first disappointed because I thought it would be more of an RPG game, but it is just like Mario in the sense that it is linear\2D, but the boards and the game play are just amazing and fun--but frustrating sometimes in their difficulty--which I say is a good thing!!!
Summary: This game has great graphics and is very funny to watch the boys play. It is really different from other games. There is cool tricks and tools to use. My 6 and 9 year old can both play together and they love it. I would definitely recommend this game.
Summary: I played this game last night. I don't think it's as fun as the original SNES Donkey Kong Country... I expected better graphics, I almost feel like it's more crisp and clear in the SNES version! I don't like how you can't play with diddy kong unless in 2 player mode. Maybe it will just take some getting used to.
Summary: I used to play Donkey Kong Country alot when i was very little on the snes.My dad and i used to play the heck out of it, so when i saw this game come out i was shocked. Dounkey Kong Country Returns is almost just like the old snes games with 3-d put into it.This game also features 2 player co-op where one plays as dk and one as diddy kong. This was a nice feature for my friends to come and play it. The difficulty is massive compared to recent nintendo games.
