List All 9 PricesIt was inevitable that Activision would look to expand its rhythm genre empire and DJ Hero is a noteworthy addition to its arsenal. However, it isn't nearly as accessible nor as polished as its current bread and butter franchise, Guitar Hero. Still, it has potential and the music is good enough that it should convince enough gamers to step up to the ones and twos; we're also certain it will warrant a sequel, which we hope will fix some of the issues that bog down an... This game proves that there is no such thing as too much Grandmaster Flash This holiday season, it seems that Activision will be shilling plastic as if they were heavily invested in Oil Futures. DJ Hero is one of those games with a plastic toy, which comes in the form of a vinyl turntable and primitive mixer. But rest assured; it is worth finding a place in your cluttered closet to store DJ Hero, because it has turned out to be a challenging and fine rhythm game. Read more
As I sit here and start to write this review it has become clear to me that Activision has bombarded the gaming public with a large number of interactive music games. Heck, some could even say they have released so many music games that they are keeping the interest in music alive. There have been many Guitar Hero games released over the past five years or so, but finally something new has come along and it is aptly titled DJ Hero. Read more
DJ Hero expands Guitar Hero's signature social gaming to all-new consumers with the addition of diverse music genres including hip-hop, R&B, Motown, electronica and dance. An all-new turntable controller transforms players into DJs by creating original mixes of popular songs and music from the world's most exciting artists and DJs. Read more
DJ Hero is a well made title that even old farts can enjoy. From the quality set list, accessible turntable peripheral, and generally nicely implemented mechanics, there's a lot for any gamer to enjoy. On the downside, the multiplayer elements aren't nearly as convincing as they should be, making this a game you'll likely play alone. Read more
It's amazing to me that such a fun game is not incredibly popular. I bought DJ Hero over the holidays for $20; it's worth at least 3X that amount, considering you get a controller with the game. This game is actually an improvement on Guitar Hero, with more controller options, and the beats are fun to play. The kids love taking turns playing and dancing to the songs. I can't say enough good things about this game. Read more or see product
Overall, love the game. I like the variety of mixes and the autoplay option. Read more
Great game for those who like rhythm and better for those who can dance. Much easier on the wrist and fingers than guitar hero but less sensation of being a part of the show. Read more
Make sure you have decent speakers with which to play this game. Keep in mind that one can unlock everything in this game without ever venturing into the higher difficulty modes of gameplay. I was able to unlock everything by playing solely "Medium," without ever venturing into "Hard" and "Expert." I am a veteran of rhythm games (DDR, StepMania, SpinItUp, Beatmania, and Guitar Hero) and DJ Hero definitely has impressed me and gets my seal of approval. Read more
Not being the greatest guitar player even though I had lessons as a teenager, I was very pleased that DJ hero was released on the Wii. I wouldn't say that I am the greatest DJ but I am not bad considering and can sure as anything know a good beat when I hear one. I had read reviews on X Box 360 and couldn't wait for it to come out. I bought it from Gamestation when it was on a special deal for £85.00. Read more
