My kid loves this game!
Daddy Monkey, Amazon
14 October 2013
Summary: A lot of people have been giving the Wii version of this game a bad rap due to the fact that it doesn't support multiplayer in the Play Set mode. If your kid doesn't care about that, which mine doesn't, then this game is a lot of fun. He hasn't stopped playing it since we got it. If your kids enjoy Minecraft, then they'll love this game. Getting to create landscapes, gizmos, etc. is his favorite part.
Summary: Although it boasts the basic things of the Wii U, PS3, & Xbox360, it lacks certain qualities that those vesions have. For example, it has no 2-player play set mode, no online play, and there is 6 toy boxes split up into categories instead of one big toy box. Of course, I'm not saying it's BAD, but it could be better. You probably want to stick with the Wii U upgrade, which covers these issues. Otherwise, this'll have to do!
Summary: If you're buying this thinking it's more like Skylanders, you'll be disappointed like almost all of the reviewers. If you're thinking it's more like Mine Craft, then you'll probably be less disappointed, maybe even pleased. First, I won't go into the details of the game and how it works - "Denise" did a nice job of that in her Most Helpful review.
Summary: My kids and I are having a blast with this game. My four year old son and teenage daughters haven't a clue how to play yet but how cool is it to run around Monsters U with Mike W! Pirates game was very fun - me and my son worked together. I know you can only play one at a time in the play sets but taking turns is fun (and what we used to do "back in the day") and sometimes we share by one having the controller and the other using the nunchuck.
Summary: We love Disney and are familiar with the Skylanders games, so we knew that we would need to buy extra characters for game-play, but the power up discs frustrating. They are is sealed packets, so you have no clue what you are getting. We have power up discs that we don't have characters for and vice-versa.
