Summary: I'm not a hard core gamer by any means...But I got the hang of this one pretty quickly. I love the look of the game and the music. My 5 year old plays it with me :). I have only gotten to Episode 3, but I can tell it will be fun!
Summary: I got this for my son because he enjoyed his Death Jr titles on PSP and thought he would enjoy it with bigger and better gameplay that he can play with someone else. I wasn't wrong, he really enjoys playing this game. He is 15 and he does not like shoot em up games like most kids his age, he likes to figure things out. His games have to have a story and a purpose beyond just shooting everything in sight. He can play as the boy as his sister plays as the girl.
Summary: I've always been a big fan of platform/adventure games. Especially when the games have a dark spooky feel to them. After playing "Voodoo Vince" and "Psychonauts" I've been searching for a good platform game that has a similar feel. Well after much searching I have found something which I consider to feel similar to those two games, and that something is "Death Jr: Root of Evil" for the Wii. This game has tons of atmosphere.
Summary: Death Jr: Root of Evil is fun from beginning to end. This game takes you on a journey as the grim reaper's adolescent son as he attempts to save the world with help from a group of his friends (who just happen to be evil, misfit, accidental geniouses - what do you expect from the son of the grim reaper?!). It has great characters (aside from one, who is a bit over the top - just my opinion), and a story that reels you in by being very funny.
Summary: You can doubt a lot of the Wii games out there, which means it's not that easy to find a lot of great titles. I've played the previous Death Jr title for the PSP, and it was great...except for the fact that it was way too hard for me. I couldn't even rescue the next person, the demons kept attacking like crazy. I've found this title to be much more of an improvement. If you liked the prequel to Roots of Evil, I would recommend playing single player.
Summary: This game was very enjoyable. The image and the characters were well designed and very cute. The story was funny and it had different things you could do. You could swipe your scythe (or chain depending on who you are) and shoot things. There is also jumping and swinging included. It wasn't just fighting and blowing things up, it had something for everyone. A warning: the swinging and jumping can get frustrating.
