Summary: Game is very monotonous and gets boring quickly. I imagined it being a lot better. Mini games take away from the strategy part. Strategy part is very poorly done. Played it for a few days, put it in the drawer and haven't pulled it out again.
Summary: I BOUGHT THIS GAME BECAUSE I AM A HUGE FAN OF THE SHOW, HOWEVER, I FOUND THIS GAME VERY BORING. IT TOOK A WHILE TO SETUP PICKING YOUR OPTIONS AND GETTING READY TO GO. BUT, ONCE YOU GOT GOING THERE WAS NO EXCITMENT. I PLAYED IT SEVERAL TIMES, HOPING FOR MORE - BUT I'M NOT SURE HOW MANY MORE TIMES I WILL PLAY THIS GAME. MIGHT BE A GOOD ONE FOR TRADE-IN. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS GAME.
Summary: I don't usually review a game, but when I do, something important needs to be said. I was absolutely thrilled when I stumbled across a second Deadliest Catch game. Yes, the first attempt at a game was long, and tedious, but at least a somewhat accurate representation of the show and fishing in the crazy arctic ocean, I personally had no issues with it but those were the primary complaints of others.
Summary: I'm a big fan of the show which is probably why I like the game. However, when playing campaigns that are more then 1 season the game keeps freezing up on me. This has happened on 2 brand new copies, so there seems to be some type of programming error. Plus you are unable to save your progress midway through a campaign.
Summary: I am a huge Deadliest Catch fan. I was excited to know there was a game for Wii. I spent the money and tried it out. What a disappointment. The game itself is boring, slow, and it is very cumbersome with the Wii remote. Setting the pots is easy, however, retrieving the pots is very difficult as you are the one throwing the hook over the edge of the boat. Even worse, is the sorting of the crab.
Summary: The actual 'mechanics' of the gameplay in this are fairly lame, not that I could necessarily think of a 'good' way to orchestrate it. But, if you're into 'Deadliest Catch', the game is cool. You get to interact somewhat with the other captains from the show. There's even a feature where you can watch the tribute to Captain Phil Harris, as on a DVD, which is cool if you liked Captain Phil.
