A Fun Rail-Shooter That Precedes the First Dead Space
7 June 2014
Summary: For those who are not entirely familiar with the Dead Space series, Dead Space is a sci-fi action-horror game with an intricate storyline about how humanity had invented giant, commercialized space ships in the future with the purpose of harvesting valuable minerals from other planets, or "planet-cracking", but discovers an alien artifact that reanimates dead matter into monstrous beasts. It goes beyond that, but I don't want to explain it all here.
Summary: I've always stayed away from rail games, but I'm glad I gave this game a shot . I bought it not expecting too much, but the reviews sold me. This was a lot of fun with some very intense action. I know its been said before but the game was kinda short, but I'm not letting that lower my five star rating for this game. Another con, was that the ending wasn't as good as it could have been All in all it was a good purchase.
Summary: A well crafted rail shooter. This game has a lot more narration than other rail shooters (such as Resident Evil) and you can't fast forward through it. A lot of levels you will spend more time with the narration then shooting the space monsters. But the story and narration is good. If you want to skip the story you can go to challenge mode where you will face numerous waves of taloned space zombies. Pros: Good story, game play and controls.
Summary: My daughter and I have played this game several times now. She has also played it with her friends etc... I wish they would come out with another one. Or maybe they have; not much into games due to time but loved to play this one.
Summary: My son had introduced me to this series of games and I have played through the first one on every difficulty level at least twice. My son has almost every system out there you could say he is a little spoiled on video games. He is a straight "A" student and as long as he isn't running around on the street getting in trouble I'm going to continue buying him games. Sorry got a little off subject here.
Summary: I played this before playing dead space one. BIG MISTAKE. It kinda spoils some things in the first dead space which was just stupid on my part to think that it wouldn't. The visuals and sound is just great. The tie in with the first game is simply amazing. The only thing keeping it from being a five star item is the fact that it is an "on the rails" shooter. You can not move your character, you can't even move the camera around.
Best Dead Space tie in so far! A must have for any Dead Space fan!

Summary: I couldn't believe how fun this rail shooter is. Forget all of your preconceptions regarding how short and repetitive rail shooters are. This is not similar to House of Dead or Resident Evil Umbrella Files. Visceral Games made something of a whole other breed here. First off the game is very long and it is worth every penny of that you spend on this game.
