Summary: I have used this dance video a few times but the music isn't exciting. When I want to do a dance video I get started dancing on good music. A lot of the music is house music and not the kind of music I enjoy.
Summary: If you are unable to the put the dance mat on A) a flat surface and B) a non-carpeted floor, I don't recommend purchasing a set with this type of plastic dance mat. Songs quality/quantity are about average for this type of game. On carpet - Mat will tend to slide around, making the buttons constantly shift under your feet. It worked well enough for me when I put shop rubber interlocking mats underneath to help keep it in place.
Summary: I order this but did not know that without the exercise mat you would not get the full effect of the game. Game is good but you don't get all you would have if you had the mat. The mat gives you the ability to use the other features of the game. The scoring, etc.
Summary: I am a long-time DDR fan--probably about 12 years now--and I have to say that this is the WORST music collection of any DDR version that I've ever played. Only a handful of the songs are really exciting, and none of them rank up there with the greatest DDR songs of all time. Furthermore, these days I am mostly interested in the workout mode and this one is not the best.
Don't give up, there IS a fun game in here somewhere...

Summary: This review is primarily for people like me who: 1) See the video for this game and think: "Wow! this will turn me into John Travolta in the privacy of my own living room!" -or- 2) Bought the game, got extremely frustrated/confused in less than 15 minutes and haven't used it since. The bad news is: this game will not teach you how to dance per se. The good news is, if you haven't yet turned the mat into a tarp and you give this game a chance, it's a lot of fun!
Summary: I just got DDR Hottest Party 2 last weekend. I thought it would be wireless like the Wii controllers. Unfortunately, it's not. I haven't used it yet because the cord on the dance mat is too short. We have a 50" big screen TV. There's no way we can put the Wii console on the floor. If you have a TV big enough that you have to put all your tech on top of it, make sure you buy an extension cord for the mat. You can find the cord online under Gamecube controller extension.
