Excerpt: I have listened to country music since I was a little girl. I have enjoyed this genre for a long time. My hubby is from the country, so I guess that makes him a country boy. A country boy who excelled at video games. They had electricity after all. So when I heard Country Dance 2 had come in, I knew I had to review it. I am not the biggest fan of dancing games out there, but I don't mind doing a little boot skooting.
Summary: Parents need to know that Country Dance 2 gets players up and moving as they dance along to some of the most popular modern and classic country songs. Players are scored based on how well they match the movements and patterns on the screen, with the goal of reaching the highest score possible. The game contains more than 30 songs. There are a few fleeting references to alcohol in the lyrics, as well as mild cuss words.
Excerpt: I’ve never been an excellent dancer. Something about the mental coordination with my hands and legs moving in rythmic motions has always ended with dire consequences (read: a broken lamp, cracked TV). Nevertheless, dancing games have always brought me tons of fun, no matter the genre of music. While I haven’t had much experience with country dancing in particular, I most certainly know how an intuitive and relatively fluid dancing game should play.
