an adult's perspective

Lisa A. Heath, Amazon
3 February 2012
  • Summary: I bought this game for myself (I'm 38)-I just like fun games that are non-violent. I only got to play a little so far, but-here's my opinion so far. Graphics are decent-cartoony, but I've come to expect that from Wii. A lot of the minigames seem similar to each other. I was really expecting a little more when I read the other reviews. I was hoping the controls were a little more intuitive.

Get Waddling!

azana, Ciao
25 October 2011
  • Excerpt: If you are the parent of a tween, chances are you will have heard of Club Penguin, which is Disney's online child's community. For a monthly fee children can interact safely, play games, look after pet puffles and complete missions in penguin guise. This game sees the action go to the Wii and can be played as a stand alone game but also gives kids the opportunity to earn coins and stamps which can be linked to their online account.
  • Pros: like the online game
  • Cons: bit of a slow burner

not as much fun as the website

Mummy "Mum of Three", amazon.co.uk
15 February 2011
  • Summary: My 3 kids are unanimous in their opinion that the Club Penguin website is better. Still, this does gives them the option of playing together, though the youngest (age 3) finds the wii remote a bit tricky. Would be good for when friends come over or parties. It certainly doesn't seem to be as popular as say any of the Mario Bros games or animal crossing, which are all played more often in our house. The Java Jump game did provide a good workout for Mum though!!

Club Penguin Wii

Mr. D. A. James "DaiJay38", amazon.co.uk
18 November 2010
  • Summary: Younger kids will love it. The games are simple, maybe too simple. I would like to see more of a co-op element to the games. Even fun games can be educational and I do not see anything here that is doing that. The six and seven year olds would give it five stars, the eleven year old soon tired of it so she would agree with three to for stars.
