Excerpt: Family Friendly Gaming was provided a reviewable copy of Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL on the Wii. This home console game is also on the Playstation 3, and Xbox 360. There are two main modes in Cartoon Network Punch Time Explosion XL. The first is the story mode.
Conclusion: Frustratingly, many of the playable characters and battle stages are locked at the start, so there's a good chance you'll need to sink in some time before being able to beat up your friends with your favorite character or in your favorite Cartoon Network locale.
Pros: A number of charming, likable Cartoon Network characters, Story mode keeps things varied.
Cons: Shallow combat, Some frustrating platforming sections, Multiplayer Story mode can leave players out for extended periods of time.
