Wierd

Laurie A. Taylor "Laurie", Amazon
6 February 2014
  • Summary: This one is strange and takes some figuring. We have tried teaching our little guy how to play but he doesn't get it yet. Too much to figure out on the remote and looking at the tv at the same time.

It's ok

Momma, toysrus.com
30 January 2014
  • Excerpt: The graphics are ok, the game play is ok, it's just a little weird. It seams a little arcade like in some of the games. There's several small games on this disc. It's not like going into the fire truck mater and playing, it's several smaller games within that game. So for me an my kid it's just ok and I would not recommend it to anyone over the age of 6.
  • Cons: Boring

Fun, but some of the moves are too complicated for young kids

J. Mahajan, Amazon
30 July 2013
  • Summary: My 4yo is a huge Cars fan and loves the Tall Tales stories, but though this game is fun, it also frustrated him. A few of the mini-games require complicated moves that aren't well-explained within the how-to section before the mini-game (my 6yo and I also had trouble with these games since the moves aren't intuitive). Recommendation: If your child is young, about 4-6, play with them until they beat all of the Story Mode.

  • Summary: All the Grandkids enjoyed playing. It also was a bit educational for younger children sinced it used memory recall in one of the game sections (I believe it was El Materdor). Teenager enjoyed playing but got bored after a while.

Okay

Sarah D., Amazon
25 November 2012
  • Summary: This game was okay, but it was way too hard for my 3-year-old son to play. I spent more time trying to figure it out and show him how to play. He eventually lost interest.

  • Summary: I brought this game for my son's 3rd birthday because he has the Mater's Tall Tales movie. He likes the game that is unlocked, but there is only one. There are mini games that have to be played in order to unlock those available in free play. I probably would have to play the games to unlock more for him to play. I haven't had the game for that long to give it more stars.
