Excerpt: I purchased this item for my 7 year old for Christmas. While I was elated with the speed at which the item was delivered, the game simply does not work. Once choosing the game, inputting his name and selecting "Freeplay", the game does not advance. We cannot select a game to play. We also tried to play the "Story Mode" with the same failure. Unable to select a board, or play at all.
Summary: Just bought this game for my son for Christmas. The whole family couldn't stand it. The game is not intuitive at all. Loading time takes forever. Graphics are worthless. I've never rated a video game before but wanted to spare people from puchasing this game.
Summary: Not surprisingly, this take on the Cars world (based off the mini-movies, which are HILARIOUS) is more than disappointing...it's downright frustrating! If you're even considering getting this for your child <10 years old, forget it. Controls are horrible. And this is from a dad who can breeze through the latest MW or Gears game with only a hiccup or two.
Summary: Our kids (6 and 7 years old) both were very excited to get this game for Christmas and play it with their cousins (both 9 years old). After about 10 minutes the older kids had lost interest because it was too easy, and the younger kids finished it up in a couple hours the next day. The kids haven't played it again since. I was left thinking that there had to be more to this expensive game...but there isn't.
Summary: This game is terrible! It's the biggest waste of money i've ever spent on a game. The remote does not steer it like it's suppose to. All you can do is wreck into everything until the time runs out.
Finished the game in a couple of hours on Christmas Day. :(

Summary: I am extremely disappointed with this game. It was a very expensive gift ($50 at the time) for a six year old who waited for it for months and then went through all of the levels in a few hours on the first day and declared that he was "done". (Since Mater's Tall Tales isn't made for any platform but Wii, I even bought him a whole new gaming system specifically to play this game!
Summary: I brought this for my son's birthday as he loves all lighting mcqueen games on wii and ds. I must say it was very disappointing kept his attention for 5 minutes and never played it since in my 6 year old words "it is very boring"
