  • Excerpt: A new feature at EdutainingKids.com, our Buyer's Guides help make buying choices easy for consumers. We test hundreds of children's products and strive to keep up to date on the latest releases. Of course, every family is unique. We can't please everyone. However, we are able to select some special titles that are at the top of our "edutainment" list--those that have that extra edge in the categories of design, entertainment, education, and play value.

Collection of all-ages, midway-themed mini-games.

Common Sense Media
25 September 2008
  • Summary: Parents need to know that this is a party game composed of the classic pay-per-play games that line carnival midways. It contains no sexuality, profanity, or violence. There are a couple of shooting mini-games, but these challenges see players firing air rifles at inanimate targets such as wooden ducks and paper stars rather than other players or characters.

Carnival Games (Wii)

The Review Busters
23 November 2007
  • Conclusion: Carnival Games offers some good Game Cube era graphics, same with the sound. The graphics and sound might not be up to par with other games like this, but who cares. It is a little annoying hearing the same guy talk for all the mini games but they try to trick everyone by using different "Look I Can Make This Guy Too" characters. If you can get past that though you will find a great set of mini games that should appeal to everyone.

The Laser
27 September 2007
  • Summary: As stated earlier, there are loads of mini-games included in this package and the most impressive thing is how authentic everything in Carnival Games feels. The wii-mote is used expertly in aiming and throwing which makes most of the game fairly intuitive to play. Before each game begins, you are given a quick note in the menu on how to play, which makes things even more accessible. The games themselves feel accurate and are nicely crafted.
