Carnival Games embodies everything Nintendo continually stresses the Wii is about: simple, pick-up-and-play mechanics entire families can enjoy. In many respects, it’s more a sequel to Wii Sports than Wii Play is thanks to a dizzying 25 plus playable games with a little something on the midway for everyone. Based on how quickly it’s flying off store shelves, Carnival Games is well on the way to becoming an early sleeper hit for this upcoming holiday season. Read more

To be honest, one has to be "Wiified" enough to enjoy this game. The Wii is a great tool for entertainment, but that doesn't mean we have to take whatever they throw at us. Carnival Games was a good idea, but it turned out far from satisfying or entertaining. It's merely a gimmick to play with your friends once when they come over, if anything. However, if you have kids you might play it a couple of times a week, after a half hour of hearing "Daddyyy!! Read more
Carnival Games is designed for up to four players and features over 25 of the most popular games seen in midways and boardwalks throughout the world, including Clown Splash, Milk Can Toss, Nerves of Steel, Lucky Cups, Hoops, Day at the Races and the crowd-favorite Dunk Tank. Read more
So then, is Carnival Games worth a purchase? At this point, I can't really say much better than maybe. If you're buying it to play by yourself, there's nothing much here to keep you drawn in past an hour or so of play. However, if you have friends to play it with, it is a good pickup – you can toss it in to waste a few minutes as you wait for someone, or play it for half an hour if you feel like. Read more
Carnival Games offers some good Game Cube era graphics, same with the sound. The graphics and sound might not be up to par with other games like this, but who cares. It is a little annoying hearing the same guy talk for all the mini games but they try to trick everyone by using different "Look I Can Make This Guy Too" characters. If you can get past that though you will find a great set of mini games that should appeal to everyone. Read more
Games like Metroid Prime 3: Corruption, BioShock and Halo 3 are the obvious choices to dominate press headlines this time of year, and rightfully so. Yet they aren't the only games with a chance to claim blockbuster status. Take-Two Interactive has quietly unleashed Carnival Games for the Wii, and in doing so, hopes to cash in on a combination of the multiplayer craze Mario Party began many years ago, as well as the novelty of Wii's motion-sensitive and IR Remote applied... Like most games on the Wii, CG is a nice compilation of distractions and multiplayer goodness. I’m still waiting for a quality single player game for the system, and I don’t think I’m likely to see that anytime soon. Here’s hoping though. Read more

Carnival Games is a fun way to challenge yourself or complete with friends. The game has the feel of the carnival games we all love playing. Most games are very easy to play, but hard to win. My only disapointment was that I had to create a character in the game and could not use my Mii. Read more
This game was ok. I was excited when I bought it, but when we played I felt bored with the games. They were super easy or super hard. Wii Play is a lot more fun with the mini games than this one. Read more or see product

Not for Adults. Bought this for my son and we played it for all of 10 minutes. Since it had been opened and not returnable....oh well, lesson learned. I suggest renting games or talking to a friend prior to purchasing any Wii games. Read more
Carnival Games Wii is a game for the Nintendo Wii that was released in September time in 2008, just in time for Christmas. This is a Party Style Game, (the Nintendo Wii has a lot of Party Games available) that has a range of mini games that are all carnival inspired and also all are set out through a carnival in 5 different areas of a carnival. To start playing this game, the first thing that you will need is a Mii for each player. Read more
The game has a great concept but fails to deliver. If you can get over all the graphical glitches and lock ups (this is a common problem if you look it up) this game will provide you with about 2 hours of entertainment...that's it. It gets tiring very quickly and the desire to play it disappears as fast as your $40 to buy it. There are no incentives to play. The virtual prizes are silly at best. The unlockables are just a variation of a few of the existing games. Read more
We love to play this game as a family! There are many different "mini" games and we all have our favorites. Makes for a fun family game night. Games are not too difficult for the 8 year old and also keeps mom and dad entertained. Read more

Carnival Games combines all the classic carnival game experiences with the Wii’s motion-sensing controls. Players start by creating a stereo-typed character. Then with your character, you venture out into the carnival, completing games in single-player mode to earn prizes and accessories. Or in multi-player mode you can compete against your friends and family. Up to four players can participate in that game. Multiplayer is possible even with just one Wii remote, as the game allows for players to pass the controller between them. There are more than 25 different mini games to play. Carnival includes all the classics; Dunk Tank, Alley Ball, Ring Toss, Balloon Darts, and so on. You get prizes and accessories when you are successful. Prizes are given out based on your performance. The better you perform the better the prizes. Though carnival is fun to play, there is a lack of clarity of game instructions and controls are too sensitive or not sensitive enough. Some of the games are amusing enough to be worth playing multiple times, but most of them aren’t. Some reviews said that though it’s not the best-looking game on Wii, it’s impressive for a low-budget, little-hyped release. Sound effects follow the carnival’s mood and atmosphere. It is mostly a family game giving a more Carnival mood that a real Carnival.
