Minigolf is fun but doesn't shoot a hole in one.

Common Sense Media
10 February 2014
  • Summary: Parents need to know that while the game is easy to play, it may be offputting to some kids because you really have to swing hard to get the ball to move on the mini-golf course. Also, the host moves from being cheeky to a little too insulting at times.

Carnival Games: Mini-Golf Review

Cheat Code Central
31 March 2009
  • Conclusion: While I think the Wii is the perfect system for a great miniature golf game, this is clearly not it. While the graphics and hole designs are inviting, the frustrations caused by the controls and Barker himself successfully put a damper on the entire experience. Even if you do manage to stick with the game despite its faults, there are only twenty seven holes that will barely take a couple of hours to finish.

Carnival Games: Mini-Golf Review

GameSpot
25 November 2008
  • Excerpt: There are plenty of decent video game adaptations of sport and sport-like hobbies on the Wii, with the notable exception of this rather popular pastime played with mini-putters. Things don't get any better with the release of Carnival Games: Mini-Golf, which isn't anywhere near as fun as a good day on a real kiddie course, due to wonky controls, a dearth of goofy holes to play, and lackluster visuals and sound. Sometimes, to make a hole you have to break some eggs.
  • Pros: Good selection of minigolf course themes
  • Cons: Clumsy, unresponsive Wii Remote controls, Only 27 minigolf holes to play, Holes are reliant on trick shots, loaded with gimmicks, or laid out like puzzles

Wii Review - 'Carnival Games MiniGolf'

WorthPlaying
8 November 2008
  • Summary: Carnival Games MiniGolf features over 25 larger-than-life holes spanning nine theme park style courses. Gamers should expect to be walking the plank in Pirate’s Delight, having a showdown in the Wild West, riding a pterodactyl in Prehistoria, shooting ghostly ghouls in Spook-O-Rama, jiving to jungle beats in the Amazeon or playing with wizard golf balls in Fairytella.

Review: "Carnival Games - MiniGolf" (WII)

gamingxp.com
4 January 2009

Test: Carnival Games Mini Golf

nintendo front
16 November 2008
  • Pros: 27 verschiedene Kurse, fordernde KI, gut abgestimmte Themenwelten
  • Cons: unpräzise Steuerung, leicht angestaubte Optik, fehlende Langzeitmotivation
