Summary: Our son receive this for Christmas. He's played the game several times over the last month. The violence isn't as bad as some games, which is what we were looking for. Clearly it's still a war themed game, but we think this is a good compromise compared to some of the M for mature titles.
Summary: rating this game is as simple as making a PROS and CONS list, but before i start, note that i am not using a wii zapper or any other equipment. also i have beat the game 4 times, it is a very short game: PROS -decent graphics for the Wii (equal to some of the best on PS2 or Gamecube but not close to Xbox (360 or not) or PS3, however there are a few minor kinks, such as your inability to shoot throw light foliage.

There are lots of games set during WW2 and this is one of them but it does feel very authentic. You get to live the soldier's stories whether good or bad and you do learn something from this game. It's not just about shooting the bad guys and winning the war, its actually learning about lesser but still important battles.
Summary: Coming from the perspective of someone who's played through more recent COD releases (everything up & including Black Ops), I actually prefer the storylines of the earlier games such as this, World at War & Modern Warfare Reflex. I found the storyline of Black Ops and especially all the swearing/stabbing Vietnamese soldiers in the neck to be a bit OTT...but well.
A good game though a little hard to control at the start
