Summary: I'm going to start this review by saying that I came to the Wii as a lifetime PC-only gamer. I have never felt the need to buy a console until the Wii and its fun controller system came out. The aspect I was most excited about was controlling first person shooters just as precisely and intuitively as the mouse and keyboard, together with the added entertainment of using it for other motion-activated actions within the game (rowing, throwing grenades, close combat, etc).
Summary: We've all seen world war II games. Call of duty 1 and 2 were amazing. Call of duty 3 was more of the same and it just got worse with the Wii version. Here's why: -The Wii remote has been able to make even the most medicore game a hit. examples include dragon ball z and excite truck. However that's only because the controls were able to work right. The controls on this game are frustrating.
Summary: Before i write anything, ill confess i only played upto lvl 4, so it might get better later; who knows. All this game really is is running into an open field and slaughtering everyone there. This is sometimes kinda fun,but after a few hours of playing, it got boring and i stopped.
Summary: I bought this game having never played any other COD titles. I thought this game was great at first but then the controls got really sticky where i would just spin around until i died!!!Then trying to fight off German Soldiers where you have have to move the Wii controller and Nun-chuck back and forward is just so unresponsive and annoying when they kill you 20 times!!
Summary: Firstly let me say that I'm a huge COD fan having all versions for the PC, but this Wii version of COD3 is virtually unplayable even on the easiest setting. The nunchuck/remote control is incredibly difficult to master and simple tasks like negotiating a doorway become a chore. But that's nothing compared to the hand-to-hand fighting scenarios that are quite physically demanding and generally result in frustration.
Excerpt: A game for the boys. I wanted to use my zapper, but it doesn't work with it. There is no sense of having killed a soldier or of what progress you are making in a level, I didn't want blood and gore but I did want a score. Very American.
Conclusion: I used to have this game on the wii console. It's a poor game, there is no multiplayer at all and in parts of the single player campaign the wii couldn't handle the amount of AI opponents and would start to freeze!
Summary: This is a good game where you can just pick up and play, coming from a total gaming novice. It's hard to get yourself sucked into the game, like other people said, you feel detached. The graphics are ok, not the greatest, but you know that when you buy the wii. But the worst part of this game is the controls......it's so damn frustrating that I've been tempted to chuck the disk, to just snap it.
Summary: Despite what it says in the manual, there is no left handed option for this game. That means a left handed person like myself will be aiming from the left side of the screen, whilst the on screen gun is aiming from the right. All Wii games should be usable by left handed people!
