Big Brain Academy is to build your brain with fun, thoughtful minigames. The games are well-thought out and fun and it features some smart multiplayer modes. However pretty soon you get tired of it, as it does not sustain your attention for long. The majority of the game is based on 15 extremely basic mind puzzles. There is no time limit for solving them. These 15 different puzzles each having different difficulty levels, but they feel like different games. The single player of Big Brain Academy consists of two main modes. First, you solve all of the mini-games, and at the end, the Professor tells you how much your brain weighs which is determined by your speed and your accuracy, and which categories you are strongest in. Besides that, you can practice any of the 15 games and try to win medals based on your score. Though both modes are a pleasant distraction in the beginning, the 15 games get quite boring and repetitive after a while. The multiplayer is more fun. There are three different modes here, one of which is limited to two players and uses two remotes, while the other two involve passing a single remote among the eight players. All of the multiplayer modes can also be played in single player mode. Most reviews found Big Brain Academy to have a basic but functional look and the music and sound effects are also captivating and pleasant.
