Summary: I bought this for my younger brother to give him a few more games to play on the Wii, therefore I can’t really comment on all the individual games that makeup this title, but I would say is that my brother never really took to this and it has pretty much sat on the shelf unused. It is quite basic in terms of its game play so not on the same level as a Mario Kart, or Sonic & Mario at the Olympic Games.
Summary: I picked up this game because my wife wanted a Bocce game for the Wii. I picked this one, because it had a couple of other games that I thought I'd like. However, I was disappointed. The Bocce game is probably the highlight of the game, play-wise. You can move your person side-to-side, and change angle (as you can in Wii Sports Resort's bowling), and vary your throw based on how hard you swing the Wiimote.
Summary: Could have been so much more! The response timing is way off. I found it difficult to get the characters to do what I wanted them to do. On top of that, sometimes I was even confused at to what I was suppose to do. I traded it in.
Summary: I got this game as a present for my husband because he is really into disc golf. This game is really clunky. You get to personalize your character which is fun and all but I found that the character I spent the time "personalizing" kept changing just within one tournament never mind between the different activities. Overall frustrating game play from the so simple instructions. It would be nice to know a little more about how you get a full throw with the meter level.
Summary: We rented this game before buying, and I'm really glad that we did. Our family really loves playing live volleyball and other beach games. We were pretty disappointed. First we went to create our character. The graphics for creating the character made it difficult to understand what menu items went to what. After taking forever to create our character (which, no matter what you did to it looked like a fat, football player), we headed to the volleyball game.
Excerpt: It has got six games on it which are Beach Football,Beach Volleyball,Beach Cricket,Beach American Football,Disc(Frisbee) and Boules. Beach Football You can play 5 a side football in this game buts its pretty poor to be honest. Their is no enjoyment much in the game yes you can pass about but their is no real good feel about the game. Overall I played this a few times but never really enjoyed the game.
Excerpt: I had originally decided to ask for the Sports Resorts Wii game as a birthday present after liking the look of it on Amazon but I received this one instead. As you've probably gathered from the name, the games take place in a beach setting. I'll admit that when I first got the game, I hoped it would be along similar lines to Wii Sports Resorts.
Pros: It's better in multi - player mode as the computer advantage disappears, relatively cheap
Cons: Single - player mode is frustrating, average graphics, can't use Mii
Summary: My 10-year old step-daughter advised us to get this after playing the Wii Sports game(s). Naturally, we assumed it would be along the same lines. We haven't played all the games, so can't really comment on everything. Some games are fun; others we just gave up on (e.g., football, or rather `soccer' as they refer to it).
Big Beach Sports For The Wii- Just Jumping on the Bandwagon?
24 August 2010
Excerpt: I purchased big beach sports just before christmas to give my family something extra to play on over the break incase the usual wii sports got boring. It also contains a few sports that had been missed out on wii sports such as cricket and volley ball. In all honesty this game is no better than wii sports itself. The main difference is that the games are themed for more tropical conditions and set on a beach (obviously).
Excerpt: Introduction This game is actually my brothers, he left it at my house a while back, and I decided to have a play the other day, I love Wii Sports (the one you get with most Wii bundles), and so I thought I would love this too. But I have to say I was extremely disappointed in it. About the game The game is much like Wii Sports, in that it is sports related, but the sports are much more "beach game" orientated.
Pros: Maybe be better in a big group !
Cons: Boring, repetitve, slow, draining . Just took the fun out of playing on the Wii !
