This video game is categorized under the action-adventure gaming genre. Critics say that “Ben 10: Protector of Earth” gets just average ranking as far its critical value is concerned, which is what usually happens when TV series are adapted for video game play. The storyline is appealing but the problem lies with the repetitive nature of its combat game play, plus the graphics are a bit weak too. But to fans of the TV series, this video game is just what they wanted to continue existing as part of the Ben 10 fan world. This video game title is also available on Nintendo DS, PSP, and PS2 gaming formats.
See lessBen 10: Protector of Earth doesn’t pretend to be a high-budget brawler in any sense. The game rocks a $30 price tag on PS2, $40 on Wii, and is geared entirely for a younger audience. That being said, it does a ton of things right in its first gaming attempt, and while we couldn’t care less about the license itself the core gameplay is fast and fun, there’s some depth in the 80+ unlockable combos and five fighters, and the LEGO Star Wars-inspired “pop in, pop... One of the better brawlers available, Ben 10: Protector of Earth is all about action. Repetition is an unavoidable factor, but it is much less noticeable than in other beat-‘em-ups, thanks entirely to the controls, attack moves and character lineup. Read more
Ben 10: Protector of Earth is one of the best kids' games coming out this holiday season. As a game for younger gamers and children, it's just a huge success. It's accessible, simple but fun, and very child-friendly in terms of content. If they watch or like the show, it's even better. For a general gamer, however, it's a game you won't mind playing if someone asks you to -- but you probably shouldn't buy it. It's far too simple for an experienced gamer, and the other... Read more
In Ben 10: Protector of Earth, players take on the role of Cartoon Network's everyday-kid-turned-superhero, Ben Tennyson. Using the power of the Omnitrix which has embedded itself on Ben's wrist, players battle as one of five popular alien heroes from the show. By taking on these amazing powers, players can save the world through the game's diverse challenges, puzzles and skirmishes. At first glance, 10-year-old Ben looks like your average, everyday kid, but upon closer... Read more
As a first attempt at bringing the show to different medium, Ben 10: Protector of Earth is a very good attempt, doing many things correctly. The side scrolling fighting is top notch and has a good amount of depth to it, providing those with fond memories of playing through similar titles in arcades with some great gameplay while also being instantly accessible for those who are younger. The presentation of the game is done to a high standard as well, with only a few... Read more
Certainly the best licensed game I;ve played in a while. Kinda like a less violent God of War, or Devil May Cry sort of game. I'm a big fan of the cell shaded-ness, and it looks a lot like the show. Plenty of enemies, neat attacks, okay level design, very basic puzzles, and an actual level of difficulty, despite being designed for an E10 crowd. Read more
This is a good game for kids. It does get a bit repetitive, kill the baddies move on a bit kill more baddies move on... yeah you guessed it. My three year old thinks its cool and actually does quite well. I only have to take over to sort out the bosses. I think the concept of "You cant do that with this alien" is a bit beyond him at the moment but fun is fun whatever form it comes in. Not really one for the serious gamer. Read more
